City Union Bank has launches UPI Number which is an additional payment address consisting of user own 10-digit mobile number or 8-9-digit number user can choose. UPI Number can be used as alias to alphanumeric UPI Id (abc@CUB) to make seamless transactions and it can be created post generating UPI ID.
- A UPI Number is a bank-verified phone number identifier of your UPI ID. It allows you to receive money from users, regardless of the app the user is on. You can create up to 3 UPI numbers for a UPI ID. This can be your phone number, or any 8–10 digit numeric ID you choose
- This is an extension of the CUB BHIM through phone number option that you find on your UPI app. This will allow anyone to send money from any UPI app.
- UPI Number will further simplify UPI payments as user will have to only enter the payee’s UPI Number instead of their alphanumeric UPI ID. In addition to this, once a user creates the UPI Number, user can seamlessly receive payments from any UPI application.
